About

Updated: January 6, 2011

Hi, my name is Luce Chandon and in June 2010, I set up the http://www.bike-books.com website as a repository of the best books about cycling and cycling-related information and products.

My goal is simple…earn money through the website and donate all profits to both the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the Amy Gillett Foundation.

Why these two Foundations?

I chose the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the Amy Gillett Foundation because I’m an Australian, amateur cyclist and I have been personally impacted by both deaths from cancer and serious injuries involving cycling and motor vehicles.

I came to reckognise that Life Is About Living and help should be For the Living. And so it was that, for me, these two Foundations are a logical choice.

Join me…

…and others like you through your support for both of these causes in one or more of the following ways I’ve create with this website.

  • Many of the product links I’ve provided lead to Affiliate programs. This means when you follow the link and purchase something, a small percentage is returned allocated to the Foundations. It’s not a lot but it is something nonetheless
  • Can’t find what you’re after on this website? Use it as a launchpad to places like Amazon.com or Probikekit.com
where you can find some amazing deals on all sorts of products that you’ll want to take advantage of for sure. Again, when you buy something by following one of the links, a small percentage is returned to me and allocated to the Foundations.
  • Just Donate! The gift of unconditional support is one of the most treasured and appreciated acts of kindness you can offer. For me it doesn’t matter whether you donate directly to the Lance Armstrong Foundation or the Amy Gillett Foundation. I just encourage your support for both causes and I have wanted to make it easy for you to do this from one place.
  • Visit regularly, tell your friends to visit and make this your launchpad for cycling related purchases. If I don’t already list something you’re after, let me know and I’ll find it for you.
