Exclusive vs. Shared Advertising
We use an ad server from InternetHQ to managing advertising on our site. Using this this, we can allocate specific ads to specific positions on the web page.
We allocate an advertisement to a specific position based on one of two methods:
- We can allocate a position to exclusively serve a single advertisement
This means, that every visitor to the website will always see your advertisement in that position. - We can equally share a position on the website across a number of advertisements
This means, that if there are 5 advertisements available for a particular position, then each advertisement will be shown to approximately 20% of visitors.
