Becoming An Ironman

Wonderful insight from a gracious, older and experienced female Ironman athlete! I found Cherie’s book to be inspirational and full of useful advice… great information or just tidbits that reinforce what I already know about training for this tough event.

For “new” or “seasoned” triathletes, it is a nice reminder of how to go about Ironman training, especially when one gets a little off track!

As a seasoned, female Ironman athlete, without a doubt, you’d be often looked to for coaching advice, and this book is one that I highly recommend! An easy read, and a book that you can pick up again and again, reading just a paragraph or two (like when you can barely keep your eyes open after a long hard day of training). It’s always an inspiration to keep going when it gets tough!

Cherie is one of the most experienced and winning triathletes in the sport today, and holds several world records. She obviously knows what it takes, and she conveys that information eloquently in her new book. Her years of training, coaching, and racing world-wide have given her a wealth of experience and knowledge that is invaluable to anyone contemplating becoming an amateur or professional triathlete, spectator or support crew member.
